Social Studies Reflection:
What I learned
The chapter in World History that I enjoyed the most this year was Chapter 14: Medieval Europe because in Lesson 1 we learned about the geography of Europe, Lesson 2 we studied their rulers and invaders, Lesson 3 we got taught about the life in the Middle Ages, and in Lesson 4 we learned about Crusades, trade, and the Plague. We learned it all! Learning about the geography of Europe was my absolute favorite lesson because we learned about a new place in the world. To get a chance and learn about the Ural Mountains or the Danube River is amazing. I mean, did you know that the Volga, Danube, and the Rhine River are the major rivers in Europe?
From the geography of Europe, to the Crusades, we learned it all in the Chapter 14! We also learned about Charlemagne and how he became a ruler as for the Magna Carter. The Vikings also educated us just like King John.
The skills that I learned throughout the year would include reading maps and taking proper and legible notes. I learned a lot this year, which will stick in my brain for eternity!
You can apply knowing how to read maps to the real world when you are lost and you have a map or if you are going on a road trip and you have a map as your directions. You can apply taking proper and legible notes to the real world when you go to collage and a test if coming up, or just when you are taking notes for class. Surely, I will be able to use these skills in my every day life!
